A hackney pony baby is surely more attractive than other horses.
The breed originated in England, and was created after crossbreeding a native trotter with an Arab. The goal was to produce a graceful and active horse. These new horses turned out to be excellent home pets, and many people prided themselves on having them in possession.

In the beginning of the 20th century, the breed spread around the world. These horses were used by cavalry men during World War I, and later were extensively used in many different services.
