They have a lean yet muscular body with well sprung ribs and long legs. The legs feature long forearms, short cannon bones and well-rounded hooves with concave soles. Hackneys occur in chestnut, brown, black and bay, and there are white stockings on the feet. When you buy foals, ask to see the photos of the parents of the foals.
